Overview
We Build Businesses that help People make Confident Choices
Back in 2018, we set out to build a data exchange called UTM (Unicorn Tech Media). Our goal was to help businesses use data more intelligently and make smarter, more deterministic decisions by connecting information from across the web. But we quickly realized the market wasn't ready for this approach. Data was fragmented, messy, and brands struggled to understand how to turn it into meaningful outcomes for their campaigns.
Still, building UTM turned out to be one of our most valuable experiences. It taught us how to identify genuine buyers within large, unfocused audiences. We noticed a pattern: everyone was chasing the used-car segment, while the broader story of automobile ownership, especially around new vehicles, was being neglected. That insight became our turning point.
We saw an opportunity to think bigger. Rather than focus on a single transaction or one type of customer, we envisioned building something that could accompany people across their entire automotive journey, whether they were buying their first bike, upgrading to a car, or following wherever their aspirations led. On March 23rd, 2020, that vision came to life with the launch of 91Wheels. Today, we're proud to be India's youngest and fastest-growing automotive platform. But our story didn't stop there.
We never stopped experimenting. Not every idea worked, and that's okay. We explored used-car subscriptions, EV financing, and even ventured into unexpected territories like fertility care and venue marketplaces. Some of these ideas emerged from personal conversations, others from market gaps we spotted, and many through collaborations with people who shared our belief in building meaningful, valuable businesses.
Along the way, we created new brands like 91Astrology, partnered with the right people to launch businesses such as Drivio, and have stayed proudly bootstrapped so we could learn, adapt, and grow without chasing hype.
We're far from finished. Every day, we wake up with the same drive that started it all: the urge to build, experiment, and create businesses that serve our mission of simplifying life's complexities for our audience.
